Pool Opening

Open your pool in the spring with Crystalline Pool System as follows:

1. Vaccum the pool with the filter set to "drain" or “waste”. This avoids contaminating the filter.
2. Make sure that your pool filter is clean and that water is flowing with the sufficient pressure/flow.
3. No matter the visual condition of your water, shock it to sterilize . Use 2-4 cups of regular chlorine or shock treatment. Dissolve in hot water and broadcast into the pool.
4. When chlorine begins act (I.e. bleach), start the filter and run continuously until the water is clear . Proceed to periodically wash your filter ( backwash ) , following the manufacturer's recommendations.  
5. After 48 hours, check and adjust the alkalinity and pH . The recommended standards are 7.2 @ pH 7.8 and 80 @ 120 ppm alkalinity .
6. Based on your pool size, use the chart (or call the toll-free number) and pour a dose of Crystalline Pool System in the skimmer and dilute an additional dose of Crystalline Pool System in hot water that you scatter in the pool. (Note:  Only when opening or closing a pool do you need a double dose of Crystalline)

Crystalline Pool System is easy to use! Pour a weekly dose into the

skimmer and you’re done!  The product is designed to maintain peak

efficiency for seven days.

For a pristine pool, follow these steps:

1. Vaccum your pool and backwash the filer
2. Based on your pool size, use the chart (or call the toll-free number) and pour a dose of Crystalline Pool System in the skimmer.
3. Keep your chlorine level at a minimum of 0.6 ppm at all times for a clear and sparkling water .
4. Crystalline Pool System, along with a minimal dose of chlorine , is a comprehensive treatment for your pool. It is not necessary to use other treatment products such as clarifiers , algaecides, stabilizers.  Crystalline Pool System also helps stabilize the pH of your water. Therefore , it does not change . It could however happen in rare cases (i.e. excessive rain) that you may have to use products to rebalance the pH.

Using Crystalline Pool System when closing your pool help to

simplify the opening of your pool  the following spring.
 

1. Wait as late as possible in the season to close your pool . Your water will be easier to open the spring .
2. Before you lower your water level,add your usual dose of Crystalline Pool System in your skimmer.
3. Dissolve an additional dose in warm water and disperse into the pool.
4. Let the filter run for the next 12 hours so that the product has time to mix with your pool water.  
5. Finally , close your pool as usual!  You will have cleaner water in spring, making opening easier, and saving you time and money!
